Poverty destroys lives. Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is a debt-counselling charity that helps restore hope to those lost and hurting through debt.
Founded in 1996 by John Kirkby, CAP has expanded nationwide and helped thousands of people. Its mission is to release families from grinding poverty, through debt counselling, community groups and local churches.
Alternatively, go to CAP’s website here to watch testimonial videos of people who have been helped through CAP and the short video by John, The CAP Story. You will also find information about his inspiring book, Nevertheless, well worth a read (and free to order).
Isle of Wight CAP Debt Centre
Castlehold together with four other Island Churches have come together to set up a local CAP Debt Centre. Currently we have two debt coaches and an operations manager, and we already have the joy of seeing a number of clients go debt free.
If you know of anyone who is in need, please make known to them the telephone number above.
