Youth at Castlehold

Castlehold is very welcoming to youngsters with diverse needs. We do our best to ensure all children and young people feel welcome, included and supported. Weekday activities for children and young people include Rock Solid, Girls’ Brigade, Messy Church and Pebbles. (See the details below.)

We have strong connections with Isle of Wight Youth for Christ. To visit their website click here.

We also are involved with Newport Youth Project which has information on its FaceBook page here.

Next door to Castlehold is the Revive Community Hub which incorporates Newport Youth Café.

Pebbles

Castlehold’s parent and toddler group happens every Monday in school term-time from 10 to 11.30 am. It is a chance for toddlers to play and socialise together and for parents/carers to chat.
Refreshments are provided.

Messy Church

This happens on Saturdays, roughly twice a term. It is an age-appropriate way of doing church for families with primary aged-children. There will be Bible stories, singing, dancing and craft activities, plus a meal to enjoy.

Girls' Brigade

This is a Christian organisation for girls between the ages of 4 and 18. It runs on Wednesday evenings in term-time, starting at 6.15 pm.

Rock Solid (1 and 2)

This is an activity-based youth club held on Tuesday evenings in term-time from 6.00 to 7.30 pm. There are two groups: Rock Solid 1 for School Years 4-7 and Rock Solid 2 for School Years 8-11.
