To mark this very special occasion 1st Newport Girls’ Brigade put on a wonderful exhibition of photos and artefacts spanning the last 50 years. These showed the breadth of activities undertaken and the way the uniform has evolved. The motto, however, remains constant: SEEK, SERVE AND FOLLOW CHRIST.
The atmosphere at the special Sunday Service was warm, celebratory and full of thankfulness for God’s provision and guidance. Past leaders were there and the girls of 1st Newport GB led some of the singing and gave a dramatic sketch of the parable of the Lost Sheep.
After the service everyone was invited for tea or coffee and a slice of the specially baked cake!
